General Ed Teachers and IEP meetings

Like many of my classmates said, the role that the general ed teacher plays in an IEP meeting should be important. They see what the child is capable of compared to other children that are at regular levels of learning. I think the general ed teacher should be able to contribute a large portion of insight when preparing an IEP for a child with special needs.
